MWR ATL

is a Cycling & Social Club

Our organized rides, educational initiatives, and social events aim to promote mental and physical wellness and community engagement. We strive to create a supportive, inclusive, and safe space where cyclists of all levels can thrive, explore, and inspire each other on and off the saddle. Together, we pedal towards a brighter, more connected future, one revolution at a time.

MWR Donations

We could use your help. To keep our rides and events as safe as possible we need to restock mechanical, medical, and safety supplies for our wonderful volunteers. Please consider donating today.

Community Guidelines

  • Be kind, civil, and welcoming. Absolutely no harassment, sexism, racism, or hate speech will be tolerated.

  • Volunteers allow our ride to run smoothly and safely. If you see someone help, thank them. If you can help, step up.

  • Do not be afraid to call out bad behavior or enforce etiquette. Politely tell riders, “that is not how we roll.”

  • Be a cycling ambassador. Be respectful to everyone on the road, including drivers and pedestrians. Elevate the perception of cyclists everywhere.

  • Say 'hello' to new riders. Help foster the community.

  • Have an emergency contact in your phone and keep tabs on your friends.

  • You are responsible for getting to-and-from the ride or event safely and independently.

  • Treat our meeting points with respect, including the staff, property, and the surrounding neighborhood. Follow parking regulations, check your volume, and clean up after yourself.

  • By attending our ride or event, you consent to have your photograph or recording posted to our social media and website.

  • Midweek Roll, LLC is not liable for any injuries or accidents. By riding with us you acknowledge that any sport can be dangerous and that you ride at your own risk.

Ride Guidelines

  • Wear a helmet and use front/rear lights (non-flashing).

  • Let the ride leader lead and set the pace. Do not pass them or ride ahead.

  • Listen for instructions from ride leaders and volunteers, especially for when to split the group at red lights.

  • Call out and ECHO road hazards: slowing/stopping, holes, poles, plates, grates, and tracks!

  • Keep pace, maintain the train, and control your speed down hills and on curves.

  • Leave at least one lane open for drivers.

  • Approach all intersections with caution. Do not assume drivers will stop.

  • Be predictable: hold your lane while turning corners, starting, & stopping. Provide adequate space between riders.

  • Announce yourself when passing. Pass on the left and move to the right if riding slowly, especially up hills.

  • Keep both hands free to control your bike and brakes.

  • Maintain your bicycle and inspect air pressure, brakes, chain/crank, and secure any quick release before each ride.

  • Check and prepare for weather conditions. Know your limits and abilities.

  • Do not block traffic around our starting, stopping, or midpoint locations.

  • Do not overlap wheels with other riders.

  • Do not stop in the middle of the group.

  • Do not weave in and out of other riders.
